Q Can I interpret this brief in any way I like?
A Yes. The judges want you to be brave and experiment with ideas.
Q If I make a viral film can I make it about do anything?
A Yes, as long as it fulfils the brief and has some identifying branding top and tail
Q We have to choose 2 types of media to execute. Do they both have to be completed to the same level?
A No. Make one your key idea and make that as complete and polished as is possible, the second media can be in rough or scamp form and show how well your idea can be made to fit the clients requirements.
Q Can I tackle more than 2 types of media?
A Yes, the minimum is two. The more complete a picture you give of how your idea will work in all areas the better.
Q If I make a viral film is that enough to win?
A No. You need to show how you would get your idea to a wider audience by using at least 1 of the other media in the list.
Q My viral film doesn’t have any words - is this OK?
A Yes but you must provide a written treatment or storyboard of the action even if there are no words.
Q How much does it cost to enter?
A Nothing. All entries are free.
Q Can we enter as a team or group?
A Yes, but no more than 2 ~ both your names must be shown on the paperwork.
Q If we work in a group, will we each get a prize?
A No. All prizes are shared including work experience, cash and the ‘Muse’ Shared work experience will be at the discretion of the companies involved. Places at the Awards ceremony may also be restricted
Q If I win can my girlfriend/boyfriend come to the Awards?
A Only if they pay for themselves. See www.promax-uk.org website for prices.
Q Can I build a live website to show my research and ideas?
A No. It will not be judged. All entries must be hard copy or CD Rom.
Q Will I get my work returned to me?
A No. Both the finished work and work book will go to the clients.
Q Do we have a budget to work to?
A There is no budget for production of your ideas. However there is also no financial restriction on how those ideas could later be produced. Keep in mind this is a non-profit organization so we are looking for appropriate ideas for their eventual investment.
Q What happens if I don’t manage to fulfil all the entry requirements?
A You may be disqualified. Read everything very carefully especially the mandatory requirements on the entry form.
